Qualifications: I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in understanding human movement and its implications.
Movement History: Over the years, I have actively participated in various physical activities. I dedicated ten years to the practice of Aikido, honing my skills in martial arts. Basketball has been a passion of mine since middle school, and I have played in school teams, YMCA leagues, travel ball, and adult leagues. Additionally, I explored my endurance capabilities through Cross Country and Track and Field in high school, even completing the LA Marathon twice. To further challenge myself, I have also taken part in Spartan Races.
Current Movement: Presently, I engage in basketball sessions 3-4 times a week, along with competing in an adult league once a week. I also maintain a consistent gym routine, going 3-4 times a week. Occasionally, I go for runs 1-2 times a week to keep up with my cardiovascular fitness.
Importance of Stretching: Stretching holds a significant place in maintaining a healthy lifestyle as it offers numerous benefits. By regularly stretching, individuals can experience increased flexibility and reduced risk of injuries. Stretching is particularly valuable during cool-down periods, allowing people to connect with their bodies and identify any areas that might be affecting their performance. It promotes overall body awareness and supports optimal physical functioning.
