I found a passion for intentional movement and stretches when I went from not being able to bend over to tie my shoes, to snatching 110lbs over my head.
I got herniated disks due to falling on my back years ago, and it progressively got worse as my stubborn self refused to find help until the pain became unbearable. There were more professional opinions that told me I needed surgery, than to stretch and strengthen the spine instead.
I found yoga about 8 years ago, which over time helped me understand my body, how muscles and joints work together, therefore helped heal my body. I now walk, run, lift, climb, golf, and practice yoga pain-free thanks to proper breath joined with intentional movement and stretching.
I have been teaching yoga, leading 200hr and 300hr YTT (Yoga Teacher Trainings), alongside with continuously studying about the body for the past 7-8 years.
The body is a fascinating machine that is worth spending time on to get to know every cell of it. By knowing it we can understand it and address every ache and pain properly.
I have heard stories about how breath and stretch has saved more lives than anything else during my career as a teacher and student.
I grew a love to help others add to the list of these stories.
