I have been involved in the Health & Fitness industry for over a decade. After graduating from the American Academy of Personal Training in 2012, I began my profession as a Certified Personal Trainer at a few local gyms in the Providence area. I helped others to reach their goals, such as weight loss, muscle gain, and improving athletic performance. After completing an internship at “The Genius of Flexibility” in Boston, MA, I found my niche and passion in the area of assisted stretching. I continued my education in this modality by completing all levels of training in The Ki-Hara Method. I have melded all these experiences together in hopes of helping members at StretchLab to move and feel better. Outside of the studio, I coach and enjoy playing soccer. My other favorite activities can be found outdoors from walking my black lab, Maggie, to snowboarding and kayaking.

I grew up in New Hampshire and began my dance training at the age of 3 while also staying active with skiing and track. I am a graduate of Dean College with my Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Studio Management. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was 1 of 16 honors graduates. I have performed in a variety of collegiate shows while at Dean College along with commercial dance work at Gillette Stadium and Faneuil Hall. I have also danced abroad in Argentina furthering my studies and skills. I am currently a dance instructor at The Talent Factory Performing Arts Centre and the director of their Adaptive Dance Program. I am also currently a professional dancer with the Massachusetts Pirates Cheer Team. My passions lie not only with dance, but within the special needs community. I have a twin brother named Dylan, who has Down Syndrome and inspires me to promote inclusion within the dance field for those with disabilities. Alongside Joan Palladino, the founder of the Dean College School of Dance, I became a Lulu published author writing a book about growing up with Dylan and the dance community. While at Dean, I was the president of the Best Buddies Chapter, a world-wide organization that creates one-on-one friendships for people with disabilities. I have attended four Leadership Conferences at Indiana University to enhance my work with Best Buddies. I have always been dedicated to living a healthy and active lifestyle and strive to give others that same experience. I feel very strongly about the benefits of stretching and flexibility and its impact to everyone’s quality of life and want to be able to share that. Throughout my life I have always been a firm believer in the power of movement, and I am excited to share my knowledge and expertise with my clients!

My love for movement and stretching began when I found yoga at the age 16. I earned my 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification right before starting college and have been teaching weekly classes to a variety of populations since. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Health & Wellness Promotion in 2016. Later, I went on to earn my Master’s of Acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS in 2022. I am fascinated with the mind-body connection and strive to empower and help my clients on their journey to feeling good in their bodies. StretchLab offers me an opportunity to share my years of experience in the wellness industry and passion for helping others through our stretching and mobility programming. In my free time I enjoy getting outside in nature, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my husband and our pup!

My name is Valentina. My passion for physical fitness and holistic health began just before starting university, when I decided to study Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I graduated in 2019 with my bachelors degree and I absolutely loved the program and my professors. I then began an online graduate program in Clinical Nutrition, and I will be finishing my Master's this July of 2022! I love to learn the intricate details of the human body and how to heal it through evidence-based techniques, which is what strongly attracted me to join StretchLab. I firmly believe that movement is medicine, and that consistent stretching (and good nutrition) go hand in hand with this principle! I also love to personal train for a few hours a week (NASM certified) and I spend my own time resistance training and learning Pilates, in a small studio based in East Greenwich. My other favorite activities include skiing with my husband, traveling the world, listening to podcasts and enjoying warm weather and beach days. I am truly looking forward to growing as a fitness professional and to help others achieve their mobility goals!
