I have been involved in the Health & Fitness industry for over a decade. After graduating from the American Academy of Personal Training in 2012, I began my profession as a Certified Personal Trainer at a few local gyms in the Providence area. I helped others to reach their goals, such as weight loss, muscle gain, and improving athletic performance. After completing an internship at “The Genius of Flexibility” in Boston, MA, I found my niche and passion in the area of assisted stretching. I continued my education in this modality by completing all levels of training in The Ki-Hara Method. I have melded all these experiences together in hopes of helping members at StretchLab to move and feel better. Outside of the studio, I coach and enjoy playing soccer. My other favorite activities can be found outdoors from walking my black lab, Maggie, to snowboarding and kayaking.

My love for movement and stretching began when I found yoga at the age 16. I earned my 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification right before starting college and have been teaching weekly classes to a variety of populations since. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Health & Wellness Promotion in 2016. Later, I went on to earn my Master’s of Acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS in 2022. I am fascinated with the mind-body connection and strive to empower and help my clients on their journey to feeling good in their bodies. StretchLab offers me an opportunity to share my years of experience in the wellness industry and passion for helping others through our stretching and mobility programming. In my free time I enjoy getting outside in nature, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my husband and our pup!

My name is Valentina. My passion for physical fitness and holistic health began just before starting university, when I decided to study Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I graduated in 2019 with my bachelors degree and I absolutely loved the program and my professors. I then began an online graduate program in Clinical Nutrition, and I will be finishing my Master's this July of 2022! I love to learn the intricate details of the human body and how to heal it through evidence-based techniques, which is what strongly attracted me to join StretchLab. I firmly believe that movement is medicine, and that consistent stretching (and good nutrition) go hand in hand with this principle! I also love to personal train for a few hours a week (NASM certified) and I spend my own time resistance training and learning Pilates, in a small studio based in East Greenwich. My other favorite activities include skiing with my husband, traveling the world, listening to podcasts and enjoying warm weather and beach days. I am truly looking forward to growing as a fitness professional and to help others achieve their mobility goals!

Health and wellness became a priority of mine after a journey with back pain in my teens. An injury kept me from participating in the sports I enjoyed. Strength training and stretching got me on the road to recovery, and have been passions of mine ever since! In addition to holding a certificate in Applied Stretching Theory and Practice, I've been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2013. I have also trained for and competed in several fitness competitions. As a personal trainer, I have worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels, customizing goal-oriented training and nutrition programs. I am eager to help my clients at StretchLab achieve their unique personal goals. Whether increasing mobility and flexibility, improving athletic performance, or reducing stress, I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with you and helping you feel your best. When not working or training, I can be found spending time with my husband and daughter. We enjoy being outdoors, summers at the beach, and exploring new places.

I am a Yoga teacher and Holistic Health Practitioner of yoga and mindfulness based therapies, as well as Reiki. I am also currently a Yoga Therapist in training. My journey began with some years of traditional schooling in Art Therapy and a passion to help people, specifically with mental health issues. In 2016, I took my first yoga class and halfway through the practice I knew that I had found my path. There was something about the physical practice that helped my mind, and from there a desire to explore the mind-body connection deepened. I spent the next several years studying the chakras, energy, yoga, and other mindfulness based methods of healing and integrated them into my own life. Discovering StretchLab was a serendipitous occasion that seemed to align with everything I’m passionate about. As my yoga teachers always say, “the issues are in our tissues”. Stretching is an incredible way to improve your holistic health by releasing tension and stress that’s been stored in your body. The best part is, we do almost all of the work for you – all you have to do is show up.

I have always been an active person. I grew up playing tennis, volleyball, skiing, hiking, running, paddleboarding and danced for 25 years. I also was a Red Cross swim instructor. In my early 20's I discovered yoga. I had always loved the deep stretches and mind body connection yoga emphasizes. When I injured my shoulder and ended up needing surgery my love of yoga became not only a necessity but a way of life. Stretching is healing- physically as well as emotionally and mentally. I went on to receive my 200 RYS Teacher training in Integrative Vinyasa Yoga. I have been working in the mental health field for years. I enjoy helping others. Now that I've joined StretchLab, I look forward to helping others so they physically feel better and can live their best lives. I'm excited to be a part of the team!

I have always helped people experience wellness and relaxation through movement of the body. My background is in personal training and group fitness. I have taught all formats of fitness including gentle yoga. My path took a turn when I helped my mother through her illness. Eventually saying goodbye to her. This catapulted my focus on everything health and wellness. I started studying mind & body fitness and began seeing the importance of prevention. I became very proactive with my own fitness and inner wellbeing. Movement, meditation and breath work have been the most powerful healing tools for me and now I want to serve people in the same way I have been helped. I have realized that “If you don’t have freedom in your body you don’t have freedom in your life: freedom of time, abundance, deep personal connections and purpose.” So, let’s get moving. Let’s stretch!
