Mel hails from the PNW and grew up in a house filled with athletics, sports, and recreation. She began ballet at 6 years old and went professional at age 15. Became a Certified Personal Trainer at age 18 to help other athletes be more versatile. She received a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts, and an MA in Dance Pedagogy from Middlesex University in 2010. When Mel returned from dancing overseas, she switched gears and started working in Physical Therapy. Working directly with patients further ignited her passion for the body, health, and overall wellness. Seeing how much she could help others improve their quality of life spurred her on to earn an MS in Kinesiology & Exercise Science from Concordia University. Mel also holds certifications in, Health &
Wellness Coaching, Mindfulness, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Guided Meditation & Visualization, and nutrition consulting.
Her unique blend of advanced knowledge and practical
skills has created over 20 years of valuable experience in overall wellness. Mel’s mission is to
creatively share her knowledge, and skills to joyfully empower people to make positive changes
in their health and well-being. Aiming to help all humans live their best, and healthiest life
