I am a NASM- PT certified personal trainer with additional certifications in areas such as AFAA- Group Fitness and Facial Release Techniques. I have been working in the health and fitness industry for the past eight years and am absolutely obsessed! Both as an athlete and coach- I have competed in both CrossFit and Olympic Lifting, so I understand first hand the need my clients have to keep moving! Even through the daily aches and pains that accompany most forms of fitness, being able to support clients through assisted stretching has been a game changer! Being a stay at home Mom of 4 for 16 years found me looking for more personal growth. I decided it was time to re-enter the workforce and help others with my passion for biomechanics, sports performance and rehab. I am constantly learning and looking for ways to grow in my education around the biomechanics of the body. StretchLab allows me the opportunity to help members of our community feel less pain, have the freedom to be active, become more body aware, and believe in their potential.

As a certified athletic trainer, I have seen first-hand the benefits that stretching holds. So, whether you are looking to increase your flexibility as an athlete or in your day-to-day life, I can help! I am an outdoorsy person. Whether it is hiking with my dog or camping on the weekends, you will always find me doing some type of outdoor activity.

I graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida, and have worked in a rehab hospital and a physical therapy clinic. I love to work with clients on-on-one, getting to build genuine relationships and personalize my approach. My own history with injuries and autoimmune diseases enables me to bring compassion to every client interaction. No matter what brings you into StretchLab, my desire is to help you reach your goals! I’m currently in training to become a board-certified Health and Wellness Coach. I’m an active person and enjoy weightlifting, yoga, barre, hiking and cooking.

I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of San Francisco and am pursuing a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies to specialize in orthopedics. Growing up as a high-level athlete I have always had a fascination for learning about body mechanics, injury prevention, and pain management techniques, especially after I went through knee surgery at a young age. I understand the journey your body and mind have to endure to help keep yourself healthy long-term. This growing passion has given me five years of experience working in both sports medicine and rehabilitation settings. I am very thankful to have worked with such a wide range of body types and ages so early on in my career and to be continuing my practice at StretchLab to help members achieve the movement in their bodies that they deserve. StretchLab allows me to not only help members reach their movement goals and increase their body awareness but also, to learn and grow from everyone around me in the studio.

After suffering from a low back injury from a severe car accident back in 2013, I made a life changing decision to enter into the fitness and wellness industry. I went to the best fitness school I could find here in the United States called Focus Personal Training Institute located in New York, NY, where I received a Master Personal Training Certification. I followed that up with a certification from ACSM. Using the joint by joint approach, I applied my knowledge gained on the floor to teach others how body mechanics work, corrective exercise, post-rehab, advanced mobility, flexibility including PNF stretches, Hypertrophy, Body Building, Strength, Power and much more. The invaluable knowledge I have gained and applied the last few years has not only dramatically transformed my life, but I have witnessed countless clients reclaim their lives as well.

Although I love to call Colorado my home, I am originally from Michigan, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in exercise science. I grew up playing sports and being active which gave me a passion for fitness. Last year, I obtained my NASM personal trainers’ certification to expand my fitness knowledge and help share that passion with others. I love to stay active through strength training and started taking boxing classes last year. Currently, I am in the process of pursuing my physical therapy degree. I have experience working as a physical therapy tech for two years and as a trainer at an athletic performance gym where I taught strength training, cardio, and speed and agility classes. In my free time I enjoy doing anything outdoors, including hiking, snowboarding, surfing, and traveling! I know the importance that flexibility plays in everyday activities, and I am so excited to be a part of the StretchLab family, not only to expand my book of knowledge, but also to help people live a pain free day to day life!

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. I played football at the Division II level. The position I played was defensive tackle. I got a back injury my senior year that I now consider a blessing. The injury allowed me to humble myself and pay more attention to my body and focus on health. I am wanting to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree because I understand how troubling injuries can be. If I can help someone feel better than they did moments before, it makes me happy. That is why at StretchLab I am glad to have the opportunity to be able to help the people who come in feel welcomed and build an environment of health and wellness so they can leave better than they came in. I like to workout, snowboard, hike, and eat! I believe in spreading joy and positivity and that anyone I meet can be positively affected from our interaction!

I'd like to share my passion for physical health and wellness. I pursued a degree in biology and nursing from the University Of Iowa, where I also had a scholarship to run track and field, until I had a season-ending knee injury. I have been an orthopedic nurse for 10 years and NASM certified personal trainer and nutritionist for 3 years. In my free time, I love to hike, bike, play volleyball, and spend time with my little family. I will be pursuing a Functional Nutrition practitioner certification in the Spring. My interest stems from my own autoimmune and health issues, so this will allow me to be able to help my clients as a whole. My background has not only inspired my love for the field of health and wellness, but has also helped me deepen my knowledge and understanding of biomechanics and stretching techniques. My goal is to continually increase client's range of motion, improve posture, reduce pain, prevent injuries, and to relieve tension and stress. My approach to stretching is supportive and embraces the interconnectedness of the body, mind and breath. I look forward to helping you find your best self here at StretchLab.
