My Health and Fitness career has taken a lot of different turns which has allowed me to develop a strong understanding for mobility and flexibility. I received my Peresonal Training certification from NASM and completed my Corrective Exercise Specialisation through NASM as well. I developed this experience while working for a chiropractor as a functional movement specialist. I watched how people walked, sat, stood up, and even slept to determine how healthily they were performing these movements. If a movement is done by a part of the body not designed for that movement this can result in what's called a movement compensation. Over time, these movement compensations can create imbalances in the body that will turn a regular bump or sprain into something more severe. By understanding how the body moves and what needs to be done to correct imbalances, I've been able to help thousands of people attain a more ergonomic lifestyle. The most beneficial part about working at StretchLab comes from our focus on educating the flexologist, which in turn, educates you, the member. Not everybody wants to play in the NBA or run a marathon, but tightness and repetetive injuries shouldn't stop you from being able to enjoy the things that you love!

From a young age I have grown up playing sports and have always enjoyed practicing a healthy lifestyle. I have recently graduated from Rutgers University in 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. I began working in an outpatient physical therapy office where I was able to assist Physical Therapist's with their clients and learn a lot about beneficial stretches and exercises for the body over the course of three years. I also work in an inpatient rehab setting in the therapy department where I get to see a lot of different people beginning their first steps in their rehab process, which is very important. I am very passionate about treating the body with the right fuel and energy to obtain a healthy lifestyle and am excited to be a part of achieving this for each person I get to see through the importance of stretching and flexibility.

What had originally interested me in StretchLab was the idea of a facility removed from the health care system that focused on the function and performance of health. A place that individuals can improve on their flexibility and fitness in order to function better in their day to day operations. Health and fitness have always been an important part of my life. I fell in love with health and fitness during high school, during that time I began to gain an interest in trying to become the best version of myself. I played football and lacrosse while at school, which pushed me to eat healthy and exercise to gain a competitive edge. From there I furthered my education at Rowan University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Human Performance in Clinical Settings. After graduating I had injured my back and was unable to do most daily tasks. But through daily stretching and exercise I was able to fully recover without surgery and am in a better position now than I have ever been!
